We celebrated the Debunking of outgoing President Lou Steinberg on Friday, June 28. This gala event at the Petaluma Sheraton celebrated Lou's year and welcomed Ralph Sartori as the incoming Club President. Click for photos of the 2008 Debunking.
On Friday, June 6 Erik Gunheim, Lou Steinberg, Larry Jonas, Orest Balytsky, and non-Rotarian Rich Rohrer headed up the coast to dive for abalone. They needed it for the abalone dinner auctioned off at the Crab Feed in February. They dove on Friday and got their limits of abalone. They feasted on abalone that evening, spent the night, and after a Saturday morning dive headed for Larry's house in Petaluma to prepare the dinner for ten. On December 15 Rotarians and Interact Club members assembled for the massive task of wrapping hundreds of gifts that would be distributed to needy children on December 20. Ed Fullerton took these photos during the Gift Wrap Marathon.

Nearly 60 Rotarians from District 5130 participated in this year's November 2-11 Festival of Brotherhood in Guadalajara, Mexico. This project faire connects Northern California Rotary clubs with Mexican clubs from District 4150. For the past 11 years, this program has resulted in a variety of matching grants bringing relief to the impoverished of the area.
Carol Fullerton gives a stuffed animal (donated by Whit Hall) to a young girl at the home for abused girls in Guadalajara.
In addition to stuffed animals, the girls received Exchange Bank visors donated by Rick Mossi.
Dolls and stuffed animals, donated by Nit Anderson, also were given to severely handicapped children.
