Hello all those visiting this web page. The theme for Rotary International this year 2014/15 is “LIGHT UP ROTARY”.

The idea is to let all who come in contact with you, know what Rotary is and what we do. It is not new but it is a bright idea, literally and figuratively. We will embark on a mission to make sure the world knows that Rotary is a service organization built on volunteers, willing to work hard at giving back to their local community and communities around the world.

In 2014/15 The Rotary Club of Petaluma will endeavor to keep up the reputation of Rotary by taking on new projects that help those around us, and those less fortunate around the world. We will do so by combining our efforts with other local clubs, and by the grant process to help those in poor countries that need a boost.

Whenever and wherever you are as a member of our Rotary Club of Petaluma, as President I ask you to be an example of the generosity and kindness that embodies Rotarians around the world. Light UP Rotary, by giving of your time generously, helping those who need our assistance. By being a member of our club you automatically are helping many around the world. By lending a hand locally you make our club visible to those around us. When you make others who are able to join our club, aware of what we do, we add new members, and by doing so we add to the general welfare of the world community.

It is in our hands to do and accomplish, if we decide to participate, to engage, and not be a bystander wondering who is going to do the work. It is us!
