Welcome to the website of The Rotary Club of Petaluma. Founded in 1923, the Rotary Club of Petaluma is one of the oldest clubs in Rotary. Our club has a long history of community involvement, as well as involvement in District-wide and International projects.

A member of our club contributed the land that is now McNear Park, the largest park on the Westside of Petaluma. The club than built a children’s playground that we recently renovated and modernized, as well as the McNear tennis courts. This was one of our clubs earliest and latest projects. The club has modernized playgrounds at Walnut Park as well.

Each year the club puts on a program for underprivileged children providing Xmas gifts for the kids. The club is involved in a literacy program in the Petaluma School District and provides dictionaries to every third grader in the District. At the same time, members of the club are mentoring English language learners at McKinley School. Our events include an annual Golf tournament, an All Day Breakfast, the Annual Crab Feed with Raffle, Farmers and Merchants Night, Friendship Feast and our Holiday Party.

Our International committee is currently doing projects in Mexico, Guatemala, Thailand and Nigeria. We have been providing both medical and educational equipment in these countries. We have completed water projects in Thailand. Members of our club have traveled to these countries to work on the projects and to oversee their completion.

The Rotary Club of Petaluma is a 100+ members strong. Its members are active in the community in many different ways, but they unite under the Rotary emblem to work together for the betterment of the community.

We meet on Thursdays at the Veterans Hall on Petaluma Blvd. South, at noon and complete our meeting at 1:30 sharp. At each meeting we have a speaker who shares with us a topic ranging from local to international. Please come join us as a visiting Rotarian or someone who is interested in becoming involved.
