On the tenth day of Christmas Rotary sent to me a group of Rotarians that were happy as can be!
Anne "Tiara" Gealta, our fearless leader and president of the Petaluma Rotary Zoom Tribe, kicked-off yet another meeting in the bubble. Anne welcomed Lou Steinberg, a visiting Rotarian and Colorado transplant.
Royce Van Bebber led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Bano Cummings was all smiles as she handled the 'Thought for the Day' and the theme was to project your own inner peace to make those around you feel comfortable.
The prez reminded us that our meeting on Thursday, December 17th will be a cocktail hour beginning at 5:00 pm. Anne also mentioned that Rick Gorman will announce his board. 2022 will be our club's 100th Anniversary and the president for 2022 will be announced.
Anne congratulated our very own Tawny Tesconi, Executive Director of the the Sonoma County Farm Bureau, as the winner of the County of the Year Award (the California Farm Bureau recognized the Sonoma County Farm Bureau this week with the County of the Year Award among bureaus statewide of 800 or more members).
Former prez, Elias Husary, and Judi Allewelt gave an update on Christmas for Kids. Although the tradition of shopping at K-Mart for the kids is not taking place this year, 183 kids will receive $50 gift cards from our Rotary club. Elias mentioned that we will be donating a total of $9,150 this year for the program.
Anne was excited to announce that Suzanne Tucker and Charlie Stuart, the Dynamic Duo, are the Rotarians of the Month! Thank you both for all of your efforts and hard work, and for continuing to secure guest speakers for our weekly meetings.
Mike Stauber announced our guest speaker, Allison Kalemba, a senior at Casa Grande High School.
Our guest speaker, Allison
Kalemba, a resident of Penngrove and a senior at Casa Grande High School gave a
well-detailed chronicle of her trip (Rotary Youth Exchange Program) to
Corrientes, Argentina. Kalemba is a member of the National Honor Society and
lived with three host families. Kalemba will attend Santa Rosa Junior College
next year and then plans to transfer to a college yet undetermined. She
mentioned that her experience in Argentina was incredible and she would like to
travel abroad again.

20-30 International Club
Learn about the 20-30 Club, Future Leaders in our Community
Chase Kranich, President of Petaluma Active 20-30. I have been a member of Active 20-30 for almost 4 years now, serving as my third term on the board of directors. I have lived in Sonoma County for 13 years and in Petaluma for 8. I joined Active 20-30 to serve my community and have a lasting impact on our future generations.
I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science from Sonoma State University and am attending additional training in Fire Science and Emergency Medical Services. Of note, following in the path of previous 20-30 International leaders, Chase's great-great-grand father was a member in Santa Cruz, CA.
Active 20-30 International is an international service club focused on helping children and developing leadership skills in younger adults ages 20–39. In the United States and Canada the organization is called the Active 20-30 Club and has over 50 local chapters. In Hispanic America the group is called Activo 20-30 International and has over 60 chapters.
